UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Yale Gymnastics team opened the 2026 season at Penn State on Sunday. The Bulldogs finished the dual meet in second with a score of 193.850. The mark was Yale's highest opening score in program history.
Penn State concluded the meet with a 196.225, the fourth-highest score in the country this season.
Notable Performances
• Junior Chloe DeJoy was outstanding on bars, recording a 9.775, tied for the fifth-highest score of the meet.
• Junior Ella Tashjian continued where she left off from her successful sophomore campaign. Tashjian registered a 9.800 on floor, tied for the fourth-best score.
Meet Notes
• The Bulldogs' score of 193.850 was their highest for an opening meet in program history. Their previous high was 193.775 in 2019.
• First-year Annie Bilbe made her collegiate debut, competing on vault. Bilbe recorded a score of 9.675.
• Tashjian was Yale's top performer in both floor and vault.
• Floor was the team's best event. The Bulldogs recorded a score of 48.775.
