RALEIGH, N.C. – The Yale gymnastics team competed at North Carolina State University in a quad meet with the Wolfpack, the University of New Hampshire, and George Washington University. The Bulldogs placed fourth with a final score of 192.125, recording the top team vault score in program history.
The host school won the meet with a total of 196.700. UNH (195.175) placed second, followed by George Washington (194.125) and Yale.
Key Performer
- First year Ashley Stafford tied for second on vault among a very competitive field. Stafford recorded a 9.850, tied for the third-highest score in program history.
Meet Notes
- Yale posted its best team vault score of all-time (48.900), topping the mark set earlier this season (48.850).
- Stafford's vault score tied Lauren Burt for the top mark this season. Only Tara Feld (2013) and Raegan Walker (2022) have recorded higher scores.
- Hailey Kriz registered a 9.800 on vault, her career best in the event. Kriz was also the team's top performer on bars and beam with both scores topping the 9.700 mark.
- Annie Bilbe continued her run of excellence with the team's best score on floor, a 9.800. She has met or exceeded that mark in every collegiate meet in which she has competed.
Up Next
The Bulldogs will compete at the Pink Invitational in Philadelphia, Pa. The quad meet will feature Yale, West Chester, Penn and Rutgers.
