BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – The Yale gymnastics team placed first at a tri-meet hosted by the University of Bridgeport on Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs scored 194.300 in the penultimate meet of the season.
Yale placed first, followed by Bridgeport (194.125) and Southern Connecticut State University (192.775).
Top Performers
• Sophomore Ellie Kearns put forth a magnificent performance on floor, scoring a 9.925. Kearns' score was tied for the fourth-best in program history and the top mark at the meet.
• First year Annie Bilbe also fared well on floor, scoring a 9.900 right behind Kearns.
Meet Notes
• Yale topped the 194-point mark for the eighth time this season.
• The Bulldogs posted the top team score on vault with a 48.825. Gigi Sabatini, Lauren Burt, and Bilbe were the top three performers in the event.
• Hailey Kriz recorded the best score on bars with a 9.825.
• Kearns was Yale's top performer on floor (9.925) and beam (9.800).
