NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale University 5K Corral Head Coach for men's soccer Kylie Stannard, announced a new team member, signing 10-year-old Benjamin Rabinowitz through Team IMPACT.

Benjamin Rabinowitz, who is a leukemia and stem cell transplant survivor, officially signed with the team today on Yale's campus in New Haven. He will participate in many activities with Yale Men's Soccer including games, practices and other team events, over the next two years.

Team IMPACT, a national non-profit organization, has developed a unique multiyear program that matches children facing serious illness and disability with college athletic teams across the country. Based on a clinical model, Team IMPACT guides a meaningful relationship between teams and children focused on socialization, empowerment, and resilience.

Yale has worked with Team IMPACT for over a decade, matching 14 children across its baseball, softball, basketball, swimming, volleyball, football, lacrosse, gymnastics, and soccer teams.

"We are grateful to work with the wonderful Team IMPACT organization again and add an exciting new member of our team," Stannard said. "Ben and his family are big sports fans and we are elated to have them all be part of our Yale men's soccer family."
