Duncan Strong in Relief

Bridgeport - Richard Slenker and Tim DeGraw each had two hits, but Yale fell 7-0 to Sacred Heart Tuesday at Harbor Yard.

Griffin Dey added a double for the Bulldogs (11-19-1).

Sacred Heart scored a pair of runs in the fourth and then broke it open in the sixth with four more runs.

Yale's best chance came in the second when the Bulldogs put two runners in scoring position. Tyler Duncan tossed two innings of scoreless relief for Yale.

The loss snapped a five-game winning streak for the Bulldogs.

Yale, who leads the Ivy League's Red Rolfe Division, will host rival Harvard for a pair of doubleheaders this weekend at Yale Field.  The first game on Saturday is scheduled for 1 p.m. and the opener on Sunday in set for noon.
