NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Yale University baseball team has announced its 2027 regular season schedule as the Bulldogs look to build upon one of the most successful stretches in program history. The regular season slate includes 19 games at George H.W. Bush '48 Field.
The Bulldogs enter the 2027 campaign coming off back-to-back Ivy League Regular Season Championships and consecutive 30-plus-win seasons, marking the first time in program history the Bulldogs have accomplished both feats. The Bulldogs are also coming off a memorable 2026 season that saw them capture the Ivy League Tournament Championship and advance to the NCAA Tournament, competing in the Eugene Regional.
The Bulldogs challenge themselves with a competitive non-conference slate before beginning their pursuit of a third consecutive Ivy League Regular Season Championship.
Challenging Non-Conference Schedule
Yale will open the 2027 season against the University of North Florida, a familiar opponent that the Bulldogs also faced to begin their 2023 campaign.
Following the season-opening series, Yale will travel to Greenville, South Carolina, for a neutral-site matchup with Big Ten Conference opponent Michigan State University.
The Bulldogs will then face James Madison University, a perennial contender in the highly competitive Sun Belt Conference. The early-season schedule will provide Yale with valuable opportunities to compete against quality opponents from some of the nation's top baseball conferences in preparation for Ivy League play.
The non-conference schedule also features several familiar regional opponents, including in-state rivals Quinnipiac University, Fairfield University, the University of New Haven, and Sacred Heart University. Adding to an already competitive regional slate, Yale will face Central Connecticut State University and Bryant University, two programs with recent NCAA Regional appearances. These matchups will provide additional tests for the Bulldogs as they prepare for another championship run.
Ivy League Championship Defense
Yale will open Ivy League play against perennial conference power Columbia University in a highly anticipated matchup between two of the league's traditionally strong programs.
The Bulldogs' conference schedule also features historic rivals Harvard University and Princeton University during the heart of the Ivy League season.
One of the highlights of the home schedule will be the April 23–25 series against Princeton, when Yale Baseball will celebrate Senior Day and Alumni Weekend. The weekend will provide an opportunity to recognize the program's graduating seniors, welcome former Bulldogs back to campus, and celebrate the tradition and continued success of Yale Baseball.
The Bulldogs will conclude the regular season with consecutive road series against Brown University and Dartmouth College. The matchup with Brown will renew a recent postseason rivalry, as the Bulldogs and Bears met in the 2026 Ivy League Tournament Championship game. Yale will then close out the regular season at Dartmouth as the Bulldogs look to position themselves for another postseason run.
The 2027 Ivy League Tournament kicks off on May 21 at the site of the No. 1 seed.
