DANBURY, Conn. -- Senior right-hander Tate Evans of the Yale baseball team was named Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Pitcher of the Year, as announced by the organization on Tuesday morning.
Evans is the second straight Yale pitcher to earn the award, following teammate Jack Ohman's win in 2025. The senior also earned a spot on the All-ECAC Team.
Evans was instrumental for the Bulldogs as both a starter and reliever, leading Yale to Ivy League regular season and tournament championships and the team's first NCAA Tournament berth since 2017. Evans, the 2026 Ivy League Pitcher of the Year, finished the season with 22 appearances, posting a 7-2 record with two saves. The Texas native pitched to a 2.87 ERA over 84.2 innings while striking out 80 batters. He held hitters to a .241 batting average and posted a WHIP just over 1.00.
Evans concluded his Bulldog career with 14 wins and 13 saves while pitching to a 3.04 ERA.
