In the ninth, the Bulldogs tacked on runs on a Stiegler groundout RBI, a Cal Christofori run-scoring single and a Tom Ruddy single. Hegeman tripled to drive in two runs.

After Politz exited the game, Stiegler pitched a scoreless eighth but surrendered four runs in the ninth.  Dey relieved Stiegler and allowed three runs (two earned) without recording an out.
