Comments from the Bulldogs:
First year skipper
Megan Grimes reported that the wind conditions at the Norman Reid Trophy were "up and down and super shifty which kept us on our toes. We tried to focus on getting off the line with speed which proved to be difficult," alluding to some of the losses the Bulldogs faced. Sophomore skipper
Sam Tobin reflected that the regatta was "a good chance to get back into team racing mode, and definitely pointed out some weaknesses to improve upon," as the team transitions to team racing in preparation for the spring season.

First year crew
Sydney Zoehrer, a nationally ranked longboard champion who has recently made the foray into competitive sailing, sailed B division at the Fairfield Cup on Sunday. She remarked that "The breeze was really light on Sunday and we ultimately got two fewer races off than on Saturday. The course was shortened as the day progressed, so boat handling became increasingly important. We had to be on the lookout for current [when] choosing where to tack in order to lay the windward mark."
