After a 2-2 week ending with Sunday's game at California Baptist, the Bulldogs return home Tuesday to host Quinnipiac.   First pitch is 3 p.m. at George H.W. Bush '48 Field.

The game was originally scheduled for Wednesday but moved due to the weather forecast.  The Bulldogs have won five of seven and are 2-0 at home this year.

Yale (7-6) lost two of three last weekend at California Baptist.  Jimmy Chatfield has been Yale's hottest hitter and went 6 for 15 last week.

Chatfield had a five-game hit streak snapped on Sunday and entered the week leading the team with a .313 batting average, three homers, nine walks and 16 RBI.  Chatfield exploded on Saturday with a four-hit game including a homer and five RBI in Yale's victory.

On the mound, Mick Kelley earned the save in both Yale victories last week and started the week with a 2.16 ERA over 16 and 2/3 innings. Mike Walsh improved to 2-0 after earning the win on Saturday with a solid six-inning performance.

After Tuesday's game, the Bulldogs start conference play with a three-game series at Princeton starting with a doubleheader on Saturday.

SCOUTING QUINNIPIAC
The Bobcats enter the game with a 4-11 mark overall.  Quinnipiac dropped all three games at VCU last weekend. The team features three batters hitting over .300 -- Kyle Maves (.365), Matt DeRosa (.333) and Anthony Donofrio (.328).  The Bulldogs and Bobcats are scheduled to play again at Qunnipiac on April 20.
