The Bulldogs step out of conference on Wednesday to face the University of Hartford at Dunkin' Park in Hartford.
The game marks the first of two times this season the Bulldogs will play at this ballpark, which is the home of the Double-A affiliate Hartford Yard Goats.
Yale (9-16, 4-5 Ivy) is coming off a hard-luck weekend that featured three one-run losses to Columbia.
Davis Hanson,
Carson Swank and
Colton Shaw all earned spots on the Ivy League honor roll for their efforts last week.
Hanson ranks third in the conference in batting average (.417) against Ivy League opponents and has reached base in 12 straight games. Swank, the team captain, went 4 for 10 against the Lions and has started all 25 games for the Bulldogs.
Shaw tossed a complete-game and now ranks sixth in the conference with a 2.82 ERA and second in strikeouts against Ivy opponents with 27.
The Hawks (2-20) dropped all three games at Binghamton last weekend. Devin Kellogg leads the team with a .275 batting average with 19 hits and four doubles.
