NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Yale women's and coed sailing teams had an action packed schedule this weekend, competing at four events, securing a win and a qualification.

The co-ed team won the Nevins Trophy held at Kings Point. Skipper

Ashley Highland won A division by 25 points, and skipper

Annabel Woodworth won B division by two points. On Saturday, the wind was strong, oscillating out of the northwest. On Sunday, the breeze started off light and shifty, eventually building to a consistent 10 knots with the current being an important factor.

The match racing team finished in second at the NEISA Match Race Championship at Coast Guard this weekend. Skipper

Mathias Reimer, Alex Adams, and
Emma Cowles sailed in 15 races, with breezy conditions on Saturday with gusts above 30 knots. On Sunday, the wind was lighter, ranging from 5-15 knots. The team qualified for the Match Race Championship which will be held November 16-17 at Seawanhaka.
The women's team placed second at the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship Finals held at the Naval Academy. Skippers

Julia Miller, and
Ximena Escobar performed strongly, coming in second place for A fleet and third for B fleet. The Severn River had tricky conditions, with varying winds on both days and strong current.

The Bulldogs faced tough conditions at the Captain Hurst held by Dartmouth. On Saturday, the breeze came out of the north-west with high winds and puffs over 30 knots. On Sunday, Lake Mascoma brought shifty and light conditions, coming out of the south-west at the start of the day and shifting to the south-east by the end of the day. Skippers
