BOSTON – The Bulldogs headed up to BU for the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invitational Saturday and it proved to be a very worthwhile trip. The competition was strong but many Bulldogs won their heat, setting new PRs and breaking into the top 10 of all time at Yale.

The day started off strong with 
Kit Colson running a new PR in the 200 meters of 21.87 seconds. He was joined by 
Isiah Udofia, who also ran a new PR of 22.13 -- part of a three-PR weekend for him.
Colin Quinn is on fire and continued his run of form with a solid 1:03.53 in the 500 meters, just outside his PR. Teammate 
Andrew Farr ran a new PR of 1:05 in what was a good day for him.
In the middle distance events, 
Thomas Cirrito ran his first 800 of the season in a time of 1:51 and will be back to try to get below the 1:50 barrier again soon. 
Amaré  Fields ran a smart race to close rapidly on the final laps to run 1:54. 
Ronan Luff opened up his collegiate track season with a 2:28 in the 1000 meters, a very solid time that bodes well.
The mile is always a highlight of the day at BU and Saturday was no different. A special mention must go to 
Winslow Atkeson, who ran 3:59.39 to not only break 4 for the first time but also to win his heat. This performance places him third on the all-time list for Yale. 
Owen Karas ran a new PR of 4:03 as his season begins to ramp up. 
Calvin Katz joined them with a PR of 4:05 as he is looking to challenge the 4 minute barrier this season. First year 
Brian Gamble had a stellar day, running 4:06 in his collegiate track debut along with taking the win; he will look to take Yale's first-year record down soon.
The 3k was led home by 
Leo Brewer in a new PR of 8:05. He ran a smart race to kick home, just missing out on the win and placing second with a time that ranks sixth all-time at Yale. Karas had an impressive double day as he came back for an 8:08, which was a PR and puts him ninth on Yale's all-time list.
The Bulldogs put out a solid 4x400 meter relay team consisting of 
Jacob Kao, Farr, 
James Grindle and Cirrito who ran 3:19. It was ever-important practice for the Ivy League Championships as they draw nearer.
Up Next: 
	- Next weekend will be another split weekend, with the 17th Giegengack Invitational taking place at home on Saturday Feb. 10. Along with this, the David Hemery Valentine Invitational will take place back at the BU Track Friday and Saturday.
