BOSTON – The Yale men's track and field team headed back to the BU Track & Tennis Center Saturday for its first day of competition at the IC4A Championships. The Bulldogs have competed there twice already this season, and on Saturday multiple athletes raced their way into Sunday's finals.

• The day kicked off with the mile, in which four Yale men qualified for Sunday's final. Braden King kicked off the first heat with a win and a new PR of 4:06. Owen Karas went next and also came home first in his heat in a time of 4:09. Brian Gamble secured the automatic qualification by placing second in his heat. Finally, Calvin Katz also placed second in his heat to secure his place in the final.
• Simon Jupp put down a solid effort in the 400m to break 50 seconds, missing out on the final by less than a second.
• In the 800 meters Thomas Cirrito ran a comfortable 1:50 to book his place in Sunday's final. Amaré Fields fought hard and ran a 1:53, just missing out on the final.
• In the 1000 meters, Austin Montini represented the Bulldogs well. He came home in 2:25 to qualify for Sunday's final.
• Rhode Island leads the team scores with 52.5 points.
