Box Score NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale baseball team kept their offense rolling, putting up a dozen runs to down Holy Cross 12-7 on Wednesday evening at Bush Field. The Bulldogs recorded 17 hits and scored in every inning to pick up the non-conference victory.
With the win, Yale improves to 9-16 overall while the Crusaders fall to 15-19 this season.

- Bottom 1st | Davis Hanson drove in Jeff Pierantoni on a fielder's choice.
- Bottom 2nd | First year Garrett Larsen drove in two runs with a single to center to extend the Bulldogs' lead to 3-0.
- Bottom 3rd | Alec Atkinson dropped down a perfect bunt single to score Hanson.
- Top 4th | Holy Cross tied the game with four runs in the fourth.
- Bottom 4th | Yale retook the lead on a sac fly by Hanson.
- Top 5th | The back-and-forth battle continued as the Crusaders retook the lead on a bases-clearing triple from Alex Sandell.
- Bottom 5th | Yale cut the Crusaders lead to 7-6 after Atkinson scored on a wild pitch.
- Bottom 6th | The Bulldogs retook the lead with two more runs in the sixth. Tommy Martin grounded out, scoring a run. One batter later, first year Kaiden Dossa doubled home Jake Williams. Larsen reached on an error to score another and the Elis took a 9-7 lead into the seventh inning.
- Bottom 7th | Chaplin singled home Pierantoni to extend the hosts' lead to 10-7.

Game Notes
- Wednesday's matchup marked the first time that Yale and Holy Cross has faced off since the NCAA Regionals in 2017, a 9-5 win for the Bulldogs. The Elis now hold a five-game win streak against the Crusaders.
- The Bulldogs offense has really come alive of late, scoring 61 runs over the past six games.
- Primarily a DH, first year Chace Chaplin started for the Bulldogs on the mound making his collegiate debut as a pitcher. Chaplin threw a scoreless first inning striking out a batter.
- Bryant Reese earned his first win of the season, tossing 1.1 scoreless innings in relief.
- Hanson recorded his team-leading 19th and 20th RBIs season.
- Six Bulldogs had multi-hit games. Yale scored in all eight innings that they came to the plate.
- Tommy Martin continued his hot streak with three more hits. He is 7-for-10 over his last four games.
- Atkinson recorded his first three-hit game of the season.
- Pierantoni did his job as the leadoff hitter, reaching base five times. He has reached based safely in 13 straight games.
- Holy Cross pitchers struggled with command all day, allowing 17 hits, six walks, and three hit batsmen.
