Trevor Wren Joins Yale Baseball Staff

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Trevor Wren has joined the Yale baseball staff as an assistant coach, as announced by Fay Vincent '31 Head Coach of Baseball Brian Hamm last week. He will work primarily with hitters and catchers while also supporting recruiting and game-day operations efforts.

"We are extremely excited to welcome Coach Wren to our Yale staff," Hamm said. "His wealth of experience at the Division I level and commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field make him a tremendous addition to our program. Coach Wren brings a fresh perspective and a passion for the game that aligns with our vision for success."

Prior to Yale, Wren spent four seasons as a member of the Northwestern State baseball staff. He served as the Director of Player Development for two years following a two-year stint as a graduate assistant.

Wren spent two seasons (2019-20) at Andrew College in Georgia, working primarily with the team's hitters and outfielders. He also coached ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove winner Brenton Phillips.

Wren, an Ohio native, earned his undergraduate degree in sport management at Schreiner, earning Academic All-SCAC honors in all four years, and completed his master's degree in sport administration at Northwestern State in May 2022.

A four-year letterman at Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas, Wren was a three-year team captain who posted a .311 career batting average while playing first base and also pitching. He was a member of the 2018 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Sportsmanship Team.

During his playing career, Wren also held various positions within the Schreiner athletic department, including intramural coordinator, promotions coordinator, and VA sports coordinator.

The Yale baseball team commences its 2025 campaign on Feb. 21 against Queens University.
