NEW HAVEN, Conn. – A record-breaking performance by senior
Owen Karas highlighted the first day of the indoor season for the Yale men's track and field team Saturday. Karas and
Kenan Pala competed at BU's Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener, while the rest of the Bulldogs were home at Coxe Cage for the Yale Season Opener.
At BU's Track and Tennis Center, Karas' time of 13:51.46 Saturday night broke his own school record of 13:53.27 set last year. Later in the evening, Pala ran a time of 14:11.30 to establish a new PR for himself. He moved into sixth on Yale's all-time list.
Back in New Haven, the Yale Season Opener featured several local schools. There, the Bulldogs came away with eight event wins.
