PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Yale coed sailing team placed second at the ICSA Team Race National Championship on Saturday afternoon in Providence, R.I. The Bulldogs put forth an excellent effort, going 19/6 to finish just behind Harvard.
Yale led after the first day of the three-day national championship event, recording a 12/3 record in the round of 16. After advancing to the round of eight, the Bulldogs went 5/2, beating Roger Williams, Dartmouth, Brown, Tulane, and Boston College.
On Saturday, the top-four teams squared off. Yale defeated Harvard and Roger Williams to net a runner-up finish.

Mia Nicolosi skippered for the Bulldogs, while
Elle Sykes,
Nathan Sih,
Ashley Highland,
Carmen Berg,
Ximena Escobar, and
Sarah Moeder competed as crew.
Harvard placed first at the event, followed by Yale, Roger Williams, and Stanford.
The coed squad will compete again at the ICSA Fleet Race National Championships from May 27-30.
