NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The postseason begins Friday for the Yale baseball team. The Bulldogs will host the Ivy League Tournament at George H.W. Bush '48 Field. No. 1-seeded Yale will play No. 4 Harvard in the opening game of the postseason tournament (Friday, May 16 at 12 p.m.). No. 2 Columbia and No. 3 Penn will square off in game two (Friday, May 16 at 4 p.m.).
The Bulldogs earned the right to host after securing a share of the Ivy League regular season title with Columbia. Both teams finished with a 16-5 record in conference play, but the Elis held the tiebreaker with the Lions after winning the season series.
A SPECIAL SEASON
The Bulldogs were picked to finish fifth in the Ivy League preseason poll and exceeded all expectations by earning a share of the conference title for the first time since 2018. Yale won 30 games for the third time in program history and earned qualification and hosting rights to the Ivy League Tournament for the first time.
Jack Ohman was named Ivy League Pitcher of the Year,
Jack Dauer was selected as Rookie of the Year, and the Bulldogs' staff was awarded conference Coaching Staff of the Year. In addition, 10 players were named to All-Ivy teams.
