Ohman Named NCBWA Freshman All-American

LYNCHBURG, Va. -- First year Jack Ohman was named to the Freshman All-American First Team, as announced by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association on Monday.

A total of 34 standout freshmen college baseball players from every part of the country are featured on the 2025 NCBWA Freshman All-American Team. The 2024 NCBWA Freshman All-American Team features players from 33 different schools and 15 different conferences.

Ohman is the second Freshman All-American in program history after Scott Politz achieved the honor in 2016.

Ohman had an unbelievable debut season on the mound for the Bulldogs. The Arizona native was honored as the top pitcher in the Ivy League and proved himself as one of the best hurlers in the nation. Ohman ranks first in the NCAA with a minuscule 1.34 ERA. Ohman tossed 73.2 innings, recording an 8-1 record, helping lead the Bulldogs to a share of the regular season Ivy League Championship. Ohman ranked in the top three in the conference in ERA, wins, innings pitched, opposing batting average (.162), and strikeouts (78).

Ohman was also a semifinalist for both the Golden Spikes Award and National Pitcher of the Year as well as ECAC Pitcher of the Year.
