NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's soccer team has had some impressive results away from the friendly confines of Reese Stadium this fall. The Bulldogs earned draws at Syracuse and Colgate and have road victories over UMass, Central Connecticut and Niagara. In fact, Yale may be coming off its best performance of the season away from home, a 1-0 overtime loss to defending national champion Maryland. The Bulldogs now hit the road for the first time in Ivy League play on Saturday whey travel to Penn. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m., following the Yale-Penn women's game. ESPN+ has the video.

Here are notes on the matchup:

* Yale (9-1-2) won its first three league games, all at home, and sit in first place after three weekends with nine points. Dartmouth, who the Bulldogs beat 3-1 on Oct. 12, are second with six points. Four teams – Penn, Princeton, Brown and Columbia – all have four points.

* Yale's only loss of the season came on Monday at Maryland, who captured the NCAA title last year. The Bulldogs deserved a better result. They outshot the Terps 9-8 and had a 9-3 edge in corner kicks. In addition, Yale had an apparent first-half goal overturned by replay, and the corner kick that resulted in the winning goal in overtime appeared to come after the ball went over the end line off a Maryland player.

* The loss to the Terps snapped Yale's nine-game winning streak, the longest for the Bulldogs since the 1935-36 team finished 12-0 and won New England and Intercollegiate championships.

* Yale is again nationally ranked this week, sitting at No. 21 in the College Soccer News top-30 poll and No. 24 in the United Soccer Coaches top-25 poll.

* The Bulldogs are among the national leaders in both scoring offense and defense. Yale is 11th in goals against average (0.63) and 17th in goals scored per game (2.17).

* Individually, Mark Winhoffer is fifth in assists per game (0.67), and goalkeeper Elian Haddock is eighth in save percentage (.826) and 12th in goals against average (0.64).

* Miguel Yuste, who was named the Ivy League Player of the Week on Monday, has a league best seven goals, while Winhoffer and Paolo Carroll are one and two in assists with nine and five respectively.

* The Bulldogs are seeking their first 4-0 Ivy start since the 1991 team won its first four leagues games on its way to a 5-0-2 Ivy finish.
