Fresh off their first victory of the season, the Bulldogs look to continue their momentum with a three games at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va. The series begins Friday at 3 p.m.

Harry Hegeman and
Carson Swank were all named to the Ivy League Weekly Honor Roll for their efforts last weekend in a three-game series at The Citadel. Yale dropped the first two games of the series and won the third game 9-0 on Sunday.
Gibbs went the first six innings last Sunday and combined on the five-hit shutout with
Matthew Erickson and
Rohan Handa. Hegeman went 3 for 4 on Sunday and Swank had two hits in the victory as well.Â
Old Dominion, of Conference USA, defeated VCU on Wednesday and improved to 6-1 overall. Â
Here are some additional notes heading into the weekend:
- Harry Hegeman leads the team with a .444 batting average through the first three games.
- A pair of first years paced the Bulldogs last weekend. Carson Swank had a team-high five hits last weekend and AJ Gaich had four runs batted in.
- The Yale bullpen provided several solid performances. Rohan Handa, Grant Kipp and Thomas Espig all tossed multiple scoreless innings out of the pen. Handa earned the victory on Sunday.Â
- The Bulldogs stole 10 bases last weekend, including a team-best three from Pierce Blohowiak. Â
- After this weekend, the Bulldogs return to Charleston, S.C. next weekend to face Ball State, Sacred Heart and the University of Richmond.Â
