George H.W. Bush Lifetime of Leadership Award
A 1993 graduate of Yale University, Dr. Keith Flaherty was a member of the Yale men's lacrosse team and contributed to the Bulldogs' NCAA Championship Semifinal run in 1990 and Quarterfinals in 1992.

Dr. Flaherty is a nationally recognized physician-scientist and a leader in oncology. He currently serves as a Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and the Director of Clinical Research at the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center, where he was the founding director of the Henri and Belinda Termeer Center for Targeted Therapy.

His pioneering clinical trials have redefined melanoma treatment, including the approval of vemurafenib for BRAF-mutated melanoma and combination therapies involving BRAF/MEK inhibitors. A dedicated scholar, he has authored more than 350 peer-reviewed publications and co-founded several biotech companies, including Loxo Oncology, X4 Pharmaceuticals, Strata Oncology, Scorpion Therapeutics, Monimoi Therapeutics and Khora Therapeutics.

Dr. Flaherty has served as Editor-in-Chief of Clinical Cancer Research and is a former board member of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). In 2025, he will assume the role of AACR President. A national leader in oncology, he played a key role in the NCI-MATCH trial and has advised multiple major cancer research initiatives.

He currently serves on the boards of Strata Oncology, Antares Therapeutics, Monimoi Therapeutics and Khora Therapeutics, continuing to help shape the future of cancer care.
