Richard P. Baribault ‘49 made an immediate impact on Yas swim team during his freshman year in 1943 when he and three fellow swimmers broke the world record for the 4 x 100 yard freestyle relay he spent the next three years as an Army Air Force fighter pilot in World War II. 

After the war barrel both swim in the US Army Olympics in Nurenberg Germany I was a member of the winning 300 and 400 m medley and relay team after just five weeks of training upon his return to yell in 1946 he served his team captain in 1949 was a member of the national AAU championship team. 
Bearable spent his entire career in engineer in Bearable spent his entire career in engineering and management with Alcoa serving in many rolls from sales engineer to purchasing manager in 1970 to 1974 he became president of our co-of Great Britain from 1979 to 1988 he served as the vice president of procurement in his in this role he directed the refinancing of the national minority supplier development Council and was the recipient of purchasing magazines medal of professional excellence in 1986 Barber also served as president of Apex international alloys Inc. for two years prior to retiring. 

During his retirement he has done consulting work for USAID helping companies in Third World countries return to normal operations following catastrophes he has also served Yale in the Air Force faithfully by organizing reunions serving all committees and working to plan memorials.
